CONSUL GENERAL BAIBOURTIAN MET WITH THE AMAA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/CEO ZAVEN KHANJIAN

GLENDALE - On August 3, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles, Ambassador Armen Baibourtian received the Executive Director/CEO of the Armenian Missionary Association of America Zaven Khanjian. Issues of concern to the Armenian community, as well as to Armenians around the world, were discussed during the working meeting held at the Consulate General in Glendale. The current state of the Armenian community in Lebanon and the serious problems facing the community became a special topic of discussion. Among other issues, the interlocutors touched upon the recent events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as well as the issue of Azerbaijani provocations in the United States and other countries with sizable Armenian population. Zaven Khanjian also presented the activities of the Armenian Missionary Association of America and the upcoming programs. Ambassador Baibourtian and Z․ Khanjian mutually stated the need for ensuring safety of the Diaspora Armenian communities.
